... to crack it in the voiceover game,
I decided to lay down some samples of my voice, in the vague notion that someone somewhere might be foolish enough to use me and my velvet tones for commercial gain. Sadly it never happened, well, it hasn't yet, but a bit like my brief musical sojourn (details here www.myspace.com/betenoire07) it's something for my children to type into their browser one day and amuse their own children with 'pops' various offerings to the world. Along with the sitcom scripts that were once in development with the BBC and the unpublished book. My office is like a veritable goldmine of 'what ifs' and 'why the feck nots'.
Here for your delectation is a selection of voiceover samples. My own favourite is the Philosopher ad for a chocolate bar. Seems popular with the lay-deez that one!
French VO Philosopher (chocolate bar ad) Privilege car insurance Medical VO VWfastdelivery car ad Blue Whale narrative Battery info
The 'French VO' one sounds like Kenny Everett doing his French person's voice to me, whilst the 'Privilege' ad is meant to be an old buffer. 'Medical' is a tongue twister about campobylacter or some such strange scientific stuff and 'VWfast' is a car ad delivered at speed. 'Blue Whale' is an extract from an Attenborough narrative and 'battery info' is just that. The idea was that the different styles might appeal to different markets. Yes Borough, Billingsgate and the Roman Road ones mainly!
They need to be downloaded to be played I think, but trust me, they are small files and perfectly healthy. If you'd like to talk about the possibility of me doing some voice stuff for you, you can reach me on 07932 161392.
