Creative copywriting
makes all the difference
Technology's great but, when it comes to advertising and marketing, people are led, first and foremost, by their emotions. Potential customers, clients or candidates won't give you more than a few seconds to grab their attention, capture their imagination or interest them enough to read on. What's more, every time you release a piece of advertising or
marketing material, whether you like it or not, you're making a statement about your company. You're projecting an image. And, you're being judged - constantly.
That's why it's essential that you get that message right. Spelling mistakes, bad grammar, typos, the lack of a cohesive, powerful or convincing message - all of these factors can be the fine line between success and failure.
Ask yourself a simple question - what does your
advertising and marketing say about you? Does it paint a positive picture? Is it consistent? Error free? Does it flow? Remember, when it comes to advertising, marketing, publicity and promotion, first impressions really do count.
What can I help you with?
Website content, press releases, newsletters, product ads, online
or press 'copy only' recruitment ads, concepts, profile pages, micro
sites, radio & video scripts, headlines, banners, 'stables' of ads
for manuals, brochures, sales materials, pitch work, even articles about the Welsh flag! - whatever it is you
need, you'll soon discover that I am a very useful resource to have up your sleeve. Advertising
agencies use me as a 'bolt-on' service when it's busy or when they want to free up their in-house creatives
time, but I'm equally happy
working for organisations direct. I even get asked to carry out website reviews. You can download more examples of my copywriting work in PDF document format by clicking here.
What's my turnaround time like?
It very much depends on the nature and size of the project, but my turnaround time is frequently less than 24 hours. And, if something is really urgent, I will always try
and accommodate it. For more involved copywriting assignments, I will always discuss
your requirements fully and quote a timescale and price for the job before starting it.
I am used to working to tight deadlines so don't be surprised if your copy turns up before you
expected it!
How much do I charge?
I work from home so my overheads are relatively low. A typical piece of
job ad copy starts at £35. A press release from £50. Concepts with headlines and web content etc. obviously
cost more but, as I mentioned,I always quote before starting a job, so you will never
be shocked at the price or deceived when you get the invoice. Plus, my rates are negotiable, particularly if a guaranteed volume of work can be expected over a certain time frame.
Are there any hidden extras?
In a word, no. You won't find any thinking time or navel contemplating
charges hidden away on your bill, just good copy, fast turnaround,
competitive rates and, most importantly - copy that's always 'on brief'.
